Ingredients

  • 8 frozen waffles about 4-inch size
  • 4 tbsp strawberry jam about 60 ml
  • 4 oz goat cheese about 113 g, softened

Method

  1. Toast the frozen waffles until they turn golden brown and crisp on the outside while remaining soft inside.
  2. Spread about 1 tablespoon of strawberry jam evenly over half of the waffles, making sure to cover the surface fully.
  3. On the remaining waffles, spread or crumble the goat cheese evenly so it melts slightly when warmed.
  4. Gently press one jam-covered waffle together with one cheese-covered waffle to form a sandwich.
  5. Place the assembled sandwiches back into a warm oven or toaster oven until the cheese softens and the filling becomes warm and slightly gooey.
  6. Remove from heat once the waffles are crisp and the filling is heated through, then let cool slightly before serving.
