- Add the sliced peaches, sugar, and 2 cups of water to a saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Stir occasionally while the peaches soften and release their juices, about 15 minutes.
- Lightly mash the peaches with a spoon until the mixture becomes fragrant and syrupy.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the peach mixture cool slightly.
- Pour the peach syrup through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl, pressing gently to extract all the flavorful liquid.
- In a separate pot or kettle, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the black tea bags to the hot water and steep for 5 minutes until the tea becomes deep amber in color.
- Remove the tea bags before the tea turns bitter.
- Pour the brewed tea into a large pitcher and stir in the peach syrup.
- Add the lemon juice and mix until fully combined.
- Chill the pitcher in the refrigerator until completely cold.
- Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the peach iced tea over the ice.
- Garnish with fresh peach slices, lemon slices, and mint leaves before serving.
