Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp 5 g baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp 3 g salt
  • 1 tbsp 8 g ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup 115 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup 120 ml vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup 180 ml honey
  • 1/2 cup 100 g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs 100 g total
  • 1 tsp 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup 120 ml whole milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line the baking pan with parchment paper
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until evenly combined
  3. Beat softened butter, oil, sugar, and honey until smooth and creamy
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until light and slightly fluffy
  5. Stir in vanilla extract for aromatic depth
  6. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing gently until just combined
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top evenly
  8. Bake until the top turns golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
  9. Allow to cool slightly as the crumb sets and the honey aroma deepens
  10. Slice into squares once cooled enough to handle
