Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 medium frozen banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Add the frozen strawberries, frozen banana, almond milk, lemon zest, and lemon juice to a blender.
  2. Blend on low speed for several seconds to break down the frozen fruit.
  3. Increase to high speed and blend until the mixture becomes completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Stop and scrape down the sides if any fruit pieces remain stuck.
  5. Add a small splash of additional milk if the smoothie is thicker than desired.
  6. Blend again for a few seconds until silky and evenly combined.
  7. Taste and adjust with a little more lemon juice for extra tanginess if desired.
  8. Pour into a chilled glass and serve immediately while cold and creamy.
