Ingredients

  • 90 g cream cheese
  • 120 g smoked salmon finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato slice about 80 g, diced
  • 6 cucumber slices about 60 g, finely chopped
  • 30 g red onion thinly sliced
  • 15 g scallions chopped
  • 5 g fresh dill finely chopped
  • 5 g capers rinsed and chopped
  • 1 g black pepper
  • 2 whole-grain bagels sliced and toasted

Method

  1. Spread the cream cheese evenly onto a clean cutting board or large plate.
  2. Add the smoked salmon on top and begin chopping gently to break it into small pieces.
  3. Scatter the diced tomato, chopped cucumber, onion, and scallions over the mixture.
  4. Sprinkle fresh dill, capers, and black pepper across everything for even flavor distribution.
  5. Use a sharp knife to chop and mix until the ingredients form a chunky, creamy spread with visible bits of vegetables.
  6. Toast the bagels until golden and slightly crisp on the edges.
  7. Divide the mixture evenly and spread generously over the bottom halves of the bagels.
  8. Place the top halves over the filling and press lightly before serving.
