Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the mozzarella slices in a single layer, leaving a little space between each slice.
- Bake the cheese for about 5–7 minutes until the edges become lightly golden and the centers are melted.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the cheese to cool for 1–2 minutes until it is still warm but easy to handle.
- Sprinkle each cheese slice with Italian seasoning and a small amount of chopped basil.
- Place 3 mini pepperoni slices near one edge of each cheese round.
- Carefully roll each cheese slice around the pepperoni filling while still pliable.
- Transfer the rolled pieces to a cooling rack and allow them to firm slightly.
- Warm the marinara sauce until heated through and fragrant.
- Serve the pizza roll-ups warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
