Ingredients
  

  • 1 slice whole-grain bread about 40–50 g
  • 60 g refried beans about 1/4 cup
  • 1 slice cheddar cheese about 25–30 g
  • 15 ml salsa 1 tbsp

Method
 

  1. Toast the bread until golden and crisp, with slightly browned edges and a firm texture
  2. Warm the refried beans in a small pan or microwave until soft and steaming
  3. Spread the warm beans evenly over the toasted bread, creating a smooth, thick layer
  4. Place the cheese slice on top so it covers most of the beans
  5. Heat under a broiler or in a hot pan until the cheese melts and becomes glossy and slightly bubbly
  6. Remove from heat and spoon salsa over the top, letting it settle into the melted cheese
  7. Serve immediately while hot, with the cheese still gooey and the toast crisp
