Ingredients
  

  • 1 slice whole-grain bread thick-cut, about 3/4 inch
  • 1/2 large ripe avocado sliced or lightly mashed
  • 1 1/2 oz burrata cheese
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh basil finely sliced
  • 1 tsp fresh chives finely chopped
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes

Method
 

  1. Toast the bread until golden brown and crisp on the outside while still slightly soft inside
  2. Slice or gently mash the avocado in a bowl, then mix with lemon juice, salt, and pepper until lightly creamy
  3. Spread the avocado evenly over the warm toast, pressing lightly so it adheres to the surface
  4. Tear the burrata open and place it on top, allowing the creamy center to spread naturally
  5. Sprinkle fresh basil and chives over the toast for a burst of herbal aroma
  6. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for subtle heat and visual appeal
  7. Serve immediately while the toast is warm and the toppings are fresh
