Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium cooked beet about 100 g, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup 140 g frozen mixed berries
  • 1 medium banana sliced
  • 1 cup 240 ml unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp 15 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp 5 ml maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup 120 ml ice cubes (optional for a thicker smoothie)

Method
 

  1. Add the almond milk to the blender first to help the ingredients blend smoothly.
  2. Add the diced beetroot, frozen mixed berries, banana, chia seeds, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.
  3. Top with the ice cubes.
  4. Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes completely smooth and creamy with no visible chunks.
  5. Stop and scrape down the sides of the blender if needed.
  6. Blend again for 20–30 seconds until the smoothie has a silky texture and vibrant color.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness with a little extra maple syrup if desired.
  8. Pour into serving glasses immediately.
  9. Serve cold and enjoy while fresh for the best texture and flavor.
